Biography

Ya'at'eeh, My artist name is L.O.G Rez. I am Tó'aheedlííní(water flows together clan), born for Naaneesht'ézhi Táchii'nii (Charcoal Streaked Red running into the water clan). My maternal grandfather was Kiyaa'áanii (Towering House Clan), and my nail is Haltsooí (meadow people clan). I am from Tohatchi, New Mexico located north of Gallup, on Highway 491. I have released 52 songs for free on SoundCloud, and 34 songs on all streaming platforms. I have been publishing my music seriously on major platforms for a year and 4 months. I have accumulated over 10,000 streams, which shows that I am a growing artist with a deep catalog. Any event would be an opportunity to advertise myself as a legit artist from the Navajo Nation. I take great pride in writing my own work and performing my verses live for the fans, the only time I have background vocals is for the hooks. The Rez Life inspires the creativity in my music immensely. As a Rez kid, I have witnessed the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. These are the stories and observations I speak of within these poetry-laced tracks. I aim to captivate the minds of my listeners as I walk them through my side of the Rez. Along the way, I hope to gather as many followers who can relate to overcoming trials and tribulations to be successful. I am proud to be Navajo, and I would love to perform in front of my Navajo People.

I own a "Self-Start up" called "491 Entertainment" and our mission is to provide a platform for local native artists to perform while giving our Rez people a safe space to socialize. Since this was our debut year, we wanted to establish our reputation within the community by hosting a back-to-school drive called the "First Annual RezBall Showcase". (I included the fliers to this event in the slide show at the bottom of the page.) L.O.G Rez was able to get sponsors like "Gallup Pumping Service" to donate portable restrooms. We were also fortunate to get the support of "Bubany Insurance" who gave our organization $500, which went towards food and drinks for our competing participants. On Top of that, we had many native-owned entrepreneurs donate merchandise from their businesses to give away as "door Prizes" to our audience in attendance. An example would be Rodell Denetso, he happens to be the gentleman who made the basketball uniforms for the new movie coming out called "REZBALL". He donated 18 pairs of his signature basketball shorts that we gave out for free. We also received a package, from Minneapolis, from "Hustle Tribe" containing a bunch of shirts and hats. This was the very first event that we hosted for the community. We were very fortunate to host Ernest Tsosie III, Young Guns Band, and Reminisce Band, on Friday night. On Saturday we had a live hip-hop show where multiple native rappers came by to perform for our audience. I was happy that we were able to give our area a chance to experience a great line-up of entertainment at an affordable price. At the end of the weekend. we were able to raise enough school supplies to give to all the kids in attendance. We then proceeded to give the surplus of supplies to the teachers at the schools in Tohatchi.

L.O.G Rez and 491 Entertainment are both on a journey to spark change within the minds of the great Navajo Nation. Music has always been around for our people since our creation story. It may sound different in the 21st century, but it's still used for coping, storytelling, and healing. Within this Press kit, I hope you can get an idea of who I am from the photos I embedded. I did shows for Gjermundson Yazzie on his "summer school tour" last year at tohajilee and Tohatchi high schools. I also was fortunate to open up for "Destroy Kasmin" at the launchpad in Albuquerque, NM. We gave back to our community by Performing for free at the "25th Annual Long's Haunted House" last October. Other Performances include "Indigistatesesh 2023" in Santa Fe, "Rezball Showcase", "High Plains Dispensary" grand opening in Kirkland, NM, and a couple of open mic opportunities in Albuquerque. I was nominated for the "Wake Self Award" at the New Mexico Hip Hop Awards hosted in Santa Fe.  I am working on a new album right now and we are always looking to take advantage of as many performance opportunities as we can. I included 11 free songs for you to listen to in the “Sample Track” section, you can let it play or you can skip them to see which one you like best. Thank you.
